My Creative Vision
Art has always had a place in my heart but it wasn't until the last few years that I realized that it is essential for my everyday life. Making art has become a form of daily balance and in many instances, healing, that I would love to share with others. It is my goal to teach this creative process and exploration in visual perception.
My Loves
|
I am a juggler of many roles. Wife, Mother, Mixed media artist & instructor, housekeeper, taxi driver, chef and many others. I strive to create art as much as possible in this busy-ness we call life. I am extremely thankful for the time my husband and boys allow me to escape into my home studio and satisfy my need to create. |

My Inspiration
MUSIC! I always have music playing and it always gives me some direction. My playlists always include a little Dave Matthews Band, Cake, Wilco, The Killers and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Those are my go to bands when I need to get it rolling but I find comfort in new stuff I hear on Pandora too.
Another inspiration is photography. I always have my phone and have found some really great apps for manipulating photos. The term iphoneography is commonly used on my instagram page.

Perserverence
This was made in response for a call to artists to create something that is inspired from a quote. I used Thomas Edison's "I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work".
Which is so true when your a mixed media artist.
